All courses are three full days, Friday to Sunday,
this will require that you arrive at the training center on the Thursday evening.

Scout Activity Instructor Grants

Grants are available to those involved with Hampshire Scouts and interested in gaining National Governing Body qualifications in leading activities. For more information on activity grants go to Hampshire Scouts Website, or email .

Required reading — Please ensure you read the course syllabus for the NGB course you are attending. For MLTE courses this can be found on the MLTE website. The HSMT course notes may also be useful.

Course duration – all courses are run over 3 days (Friday to Sunday). This will require that you arrive at the training centre on the Thursday evening.

Course bookings will be dealt with on a 'first come, first served' basis.

Course fees cover accommodation, food and use of Group Equipment which includes maps, shelters, ropes, harnesses, helmets.

Course bookings will only be accepted on receipt of a completed application form and the appropriate deposit or full fee. Cheques should be made payable to "HCSC" and sent to the address on the application form.

Applications with deposits must be received at least 6 weeks prior to course date commencement.

Full payment of fees must be received no later than 4 weeks prior to course date commencement.

Late bookings may be considered up to 3 weeks prior to course date commencement, but if accepted, the application form and full fee payment must be received within 5 days otherwise a late booking cannot be accepted.

Unfortunately, we cannot refund for cancellations unless 4 full weeks notice prior to course date commencement is given, except in the case of illness or injury, when a 'Doctors Note' will be required.
